Visitor centers closed for Juneteenth holiday

Forest Preserve District visitor centers will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

Visitor centers that will be closed are: Four Rivers Environmental Education Center in Channahon, Hidden Oaks Nature Center in Bolingbrook, Isle a la Cache Museum in Romeoville, Plum Creek Nature Center in Crete Township and Sugar Creek Administration Center in Joliet. 

The Tackle Box bait shop at Hidden Lakes Trout Farm in Bolingbrook and Monee Reservoir concessions in Monee Township will be open. 

Preserves, trails and dog parks also will remain open on the holiday.
