Storm damage closes, preserves, visitor center and trails

Monday's storms have led to several closures.

Monee Reservoir Visitor Center is closed until further notice after Monday's storms knocked out power to the facility. Monee Reservoir preserve remains open.

Raccoon Grove access is impacted due to downed trees. The preserve's parking lot is now open, but the trail is closed.

A portion of the Old Plank Road Trail between Pfeiffer Road and Harlem Avenue is also closed due to fallen trees.

Plum Creek Greenway Trail and Scout Trail at Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve are closed and will be so for several days due to downed trees and damage to the 267-foot-long "Big Bridge" on Plum Creek Greenway Trail.

Updates will be posted here as necessary.
