Event details

Get “hooked” on helping wildlife! Celebrate Worldwide Knit in Public Day at Hidden Lake Trout Farm. Join a naturalist who will guide you through the crochet pattern to crochet small nests that will be used in wildlife rehabilitation centers across the country. These nests provide substitute dens, burrows and nests for animals in need.

Materials including yarn and crochet hooks will be provided. If you choose to bring your own crochet hook, a G-hook is desirable.

Event requirements

Registration required by Thursday, June 6: 815-722-4121.

This is not an instructional crocheting course. Previous crochet experience is required. Please bring your own folding or camp-style chair so you can sit by the water and enjoy the view while you help wildlife in need.

Hidden Lakes Trout Farm has paved accessible trails leaving from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
