Visitor centers to close for Independence Day holiday

Forest Preserve visitor centers will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday weekend.

The closures include the Forest Preserve's two bait shops at Monee Reservoir Visitor Center in Monee Township and the Tackle Box at Hidden Lakes Trout Farm in Bolingbrook. 

All preserves, trails and dog parks will remain open throughout the holiday weekend.

Visitor centers and bait shops will open for normal business hours on Sunday, July 5. 

The Sugar Creek Administration Center will reopen on Monday, July 6, for normal business hours, which are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
