Boats, Bats and Barns: The Riverview Nightlife Experience!

Experience Riverview Farmstead like never before. First paddle the DuPage River upstream and float back into twilight catching the first sounds and sights of the wild nightlife. Then we will venture on land to the Riverview barn to discover more about bat diversity and reveal who is overhead using bat-vocalization detecting equipment. End the night by a cozy fire and roast hot dogs and smores for a late-night treat.

Wear shoes and clothes that can get wet, and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle. All equipment is provided, including personal flotation devices. Previous kayaking experience is required as this is a recreational program and not an instructional paddling program.
The event takes place outdoors on uneven natural terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should call 815-886-1467 or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
