Event details

This ongoing program runs from Saturday, July 5, to Friday, July 11. Hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Visit Monee Reservoir and help keep the preserve trash-free for visitors and wildlife. Fishing line and other debris pose a serious threat to our furry, finned and feathered friends. Animals become entangled in fishing line or swallow hooks or bits of plastic. Stop by the concessions window to pick up a trash bag and gloves and fill the bag with any trash you collect. Bring the bag back to the concessions window and receive a tasty frozen treat for your work.

Event requirements

No registration required.

Sidewalks are accessible; trails are on natural surfaces over uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
