Event details
Get the family together and come out to Goodenow Grove for a campout! Never taken the kids camping before? No problem! Our team will help with setting up and be there with entertainment and fun for the whole family. All ages are welcome and encouraged to join!
The campout will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, and wrap up at noon Sunday, Sept. 28. All meals, beverages and snacks must be provided on your own. A detailed list of Forest Preserve campsite rules can be reviewed online. No dogs, please.
The district has a limited supply of camping equipment available for rental. For more program details or questions, contact recreation coordinator Em Wilcher at [email protected].

Note: After registration, you will be contacted by phone to verify your campsite accommodation. Please be sure to provide a valid phone number.
The entirety of the program will take place outdoors. Please dress accordingly and prepare for the weather. The campout will take place along uneven natural surfaces with some accommodations for accessible campsites available. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
