Need a quick getaway this summer to unplug and relax? Don’t overthink it — your night away is closer than you think! Grab some friends and take a break from it all for an adults-only campout to savor a beautiful summer weekend at Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve.
The campout will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, and wrap up at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3. Join us for limited group programming and take time to read, play lawn games, make new friends and enjoy a little time to unplug. Meals, beverages and snacks must be provided on your own.
The district has a limited supply of camping equipment available for rental. For more program details or questions, contact recreation coordinator Em Wilcher at [email protected].

Note: After registration, you will be contacted by phone to verify your campsite accommodation. Please be sure to provide a valid phone number. Full program details will be sent to enrolled participants in late July.
No dogs, please. A detailed list of district campsite rules can be reviewed on the Forest Preserve camping webpage.
The entirety of the program will take place outdoors. Please dress accordingly and prepare for the weather. The campout will take place along uneven natural surfaces, with some accommodations for accessible campsites available. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
