5 tips for a safe and fun hike with your dog
Exploring nature with your furry friend can be a rewarding experience, but it’s important to be prepared to ensure a safe and enjoyable hike for both you and your dog. From choosing the right trail to packing essentials, a little planning goes a long way. Follow these simple yet essential tips to make your next hiking adventure with your dog a fun and stress-free outing!
Choose the right trail
Some of our trails may not allow dogs at all. Always check the signage of the area beforehand to ensure dogs are permitted.
Pack the essentials
Bring enough water for both you and your dog, especially on warm days. A collapsible water bowl is convenient for hydration breaks.
Keep your dog leashed
Even if your dog is well-trained, it must stay on a leash at all times while on our trails.
Watch the weather
If it’s hot, hike in the early morning or late evening. Watch your dog closely, as they can overheat faster than humans.
Respect others
Be courteous to other hikers by ensuring your dog behaves and doesn’t get in their way.
