Trail Club is back this fall! Each month, a different preserve will be featured for a crisp weekly walk to promote fitness, nature and community! Join other walkers while sticking to a routine and embracing the beauty of the season.
In October, the group will walk around the 2.5-mile Kankakee Sands Trail at Sand Ridge Savanna Nature Preserve in Custer Park on Wednesdays, Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28. Keep your motivation going and join us for the rest of the season. Times and locations are as follows:
- September: 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 3, 10, 17 and 24 at Hadley Valley — Gougar Road Access
- November: 9 to 10 a.m. Sundays, Nov. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at Hammel Woods
Participants who attend at least four walks this season will earn a trail club sticker.
Event requirements
No registration required.
The trail at Sand Ridge Savanna Nature Preserve is crushed limestone. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
