This ongoing program will run from Wednesday, July 1, to Friday, July 31. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays to Sundays.
Use nature as a muse and get creative this month at Hidden Oaks! Pick up a guide to help you start nature journaling, with multiple languages available including English, Spanish, Chinese and Polish. Then explore the preserve with a journaling kit in tow. Create a soundscape map, zoom in and zoom out on something special, make comparisons between two objects, create poetry of place and more!
Take your sheets home or add them into our Community Nature Journal to document all the wonderous things at Hidden Oaks. This journal will be used in future exhibits, so your work will live on in the history of the nature center. And don’t forget, there are prizes involved if you participate!
Event requirements
No registration required.
Hidden Oaks Nature Center is an accessible facility. The preserve has natural surface trails over uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
