Day & Night Exhibition

This exhibit will be on display from Wednesday, Nov. 4, to Sunday, Jan. 3. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays to Sundays.

Step into the woods and discover how the bustling habitat of the daytime forest is mirrored in the mysterious night. This interactive exhibit invites you to visit an old oak full of life in the dark of night and the light of day.

• Day: When light reigns, the chatter of squirrels and songbirds is silenced only by the shrill cry of a nearby predator. From the treetops to the forest floor, meet the daytime plants and animals that create a dynamic environment. Explore how they thrive using light to hunt, forage and hide.
• Night: Step into the dimly lit space where toads and crickets are singing and owls are carefully listening to every note. These nocturnal counterparts use the darkness to their advantage. Without light, their unique adaptations allow them to create the same balance that exists in the day. 

Through immersive sounds, visuals and hands-on activities, Day & Night helps visitors of all ages appreciate the two worlds that coexist within the same forest, reminding us that every hour brings new life and wonder to the woods.
