8 Adorable Videos of Chipmunks Eating

Simply put, chipmunks can be pigs.

But really, can you blame them? These tiny critters have to squirrel away enough food to get them through winter, and they just happen to have handy built-in carrying cases on both sides of their face.

Even though many people have tried to answer the question of how much food one chipmunk can stuff in its mouth, we may never get a definitive answer. On the plus side, it has resulted in some incredible video, whether it involves almonds, corn on the cob, acorns or, in a more brutal manner, a chipmunk eating a mouse.

We've picked out some of our favorites that are sure to put a smile on your face.

More peanuts, more problems

It's all about getting the right angle.

Corn on the cob, anyone?

If there was a competitive eating circuit for chipmunks, this one would be nicknamed Joey Chestnut.

How are those black oil sunflower seeds?

Good enough to come back for seconds.

Say cheese

It's probably going to need some water after this one.

The almond buffet

Here's proof that chipmunks' cheeks are Mother Nature's clown car.

And finally ...

That time a chipmunk was caught in the act, and did the logical thing by trying to offload the evidence.
