The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Veterans Woods Reopens Following Improvement Project

Veterans Woods' two access areas – Roy F. Hassert Grove and Traders Corner – have reopened after being closed since late April for an improvement project.

Portions of each parking lot were removed and reconstructed. The remainder of the parking lots had the top layer of asphalt removed and replaced.

Also a paved 0.33-mile trail was constructed to link the two picnic groves, and internal walkways were upgraded.

Picnic permitting at the preserve, which was suspended during construction, has resumed.
