The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Summer may seem like a long way off, but it’s never too early to mark your calendars for some fun events being offered by the Forest Preserve District of Will County in June, July and August.

Six "Music in the Moonlight Concert Series" sessions have been scheduled for Thursday evenings at two preserves. And three months of "Food Truck Fridays" are on tap at three locations.

Bands that are interested in performing at the "Music in the Moonlight Concert Series" and food truck vendors who would like to participate in "Food Truck Fridays" should contact Ben Hecke, the Forest Preserve's community partnerships and outreach coordinator at 815.722.5889 or bhecke@fpdwc.org.

The concerts will take place from 6:30-9 p.m. on June 1, July 6 and August 3 at Hickory Creek Preserve – LaPorte Road Access, Mokena; and June 15, July 20 and August 17 at Riverview Farmstead Preserve, Naperville. The free concerts will feature different music styles and musicians at each session.

"Food Truck Fridays," will be hosted at Whalon Lake, Naperville, in June; Hickory Creek Barrens Nature Preserve, New Lenox Township, in July; and Lake Renwick Preserve – Turtle Lake Access, Plainfield, in August. Food trucks will be available from 4:30-7 p.m. every Friday of the month at the designated preserve.
