The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Preserve Visitors Reminded to Use Caution During Winter Weather

Winter can provide some beautiful scenery, but it also brings along its share of cautions. With that in mind, trail users in particular are reminded to use caution while out in the preserves during this season of snow and ice.

Falling ice and snow from branches high overhead are always a possibility given the right conditions and preserve visitors should also be aware of icy conditions underfoot as well.

While the Forest Preserve District works diligently to try to ensure the public has a safe and enjoyable experience when out in its preserves, weather and nature in general are unpredictable. Being aware and using caution in wintry conditions are two of the best ways to stay safe and avoid an unwanted situation.
