Sign up for the Forest Preserve District’s new email blast, called The Weekly Five, to find out about upcoming programs and events.
Starting on February 4, the email will zoom into your inbox each Sunday chock-full of information on five programs you’re not going to want to miss. And it will link to details on what to expect: where the program or event is located, whether or not registration is required and if there is a cost, though most Forest Preserve programs are free.

While all of the Forest Preserve’s programs and events are listed on the Event Calendar section of the District’s website, this new email will provide a convenient way of staying up to date. All it takes is a click of your mouse to learn about five fun things to do in the following days and weeks, as well as programs that you'll want to plan ahead to attend.
The Weekly Five is being offered as a complement to the District’s weekly free newsletter, The Citizen, which features Forest Preserve news, nature education stories, expanded information on upcoming events and program highlights. The newsletter also features some pretty cool photos and video links.
If you’ve already subscribed to The Citizen, add The Weekly Five to get a heads up each Sunday on programs that will happen Monday-Saturday or beyond. You don’t want to miss bird hikes, food truck fare, eagle watches, special exhibits, outdoor concerts or any of the other offerings on tap for 2018 and the years to come.
