The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. It’s time to shift your summer fun into a new gear with some tasty food truck fare during July’s “Food Truck Fridays” offerings.

The program revs up every Friday, from 5-7:30 p.m., through August on a rotating basis at four preserves.

Here are July's food truck dates and locations so you can plan your midsummer outings – and leave the cooking to someone else:

July 5, Hammel Woods – Route 59 Access

July 12, Hickory Creek Preserve – LaPorte Road Access

July 19, Whalon Lake

July 26, Messenger Marsh

In addition to yummy and convenient food, enjoy the trails and activities. Plus, it’s hard to beat the view. Forest Preserve staff will be on-site with preserve information, activities and items for checkout – binoculars, field guides and bags – to get you out exploring the preserve and exercising.

Registration is not required.
