The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Event Details

Cure your winter blues at Goodenow Grove’s annual winter festival. This year’s theme is “Frozen” and Elsa and Anna will be our special guests. Join them in the nature center where they’ll be singing the hits “Let it Snow” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”.

Take a photo with them or stay and watch a screening of the Disney film, “Frozen,” and enjoy some free delicious popcorn.

Throughout the day, watch an ice sculptor create a piece of winter art and enjoy s’mores around an outdoor fire.

Conquer the 40-foot sled hill using your own plastic sled or one of Plum Creek Nature Center’s giant sled tubes. Strap on some of the nature center’s snowshoes, hike the trails, and participate in many other outdoor activities. And then, warm up in the nature center to explore exhibits, and take part in arts and crafts. Free winter giveaways will be given to the first 200 visitors.

Event Requirements

No registration required.

The facility is accessible. Outdoor activities will be held on both paved and natural surfaces across uneven terrain.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
