The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Event Details

The word “origami” loosely translates to “folded shapes” and is an art form that has existed for hundreds of years. Try your hand at this historical Japanese practice as we create folded versions of animals that you can find around the forest preserves. Learn about the history of paper art and the animals in your backyard at the same time! A naturalist will guide you through the origami process. Paper and any other tools will be provided.
