Event details

Enjoy the peak of summer with an evening paddle led by interpretive naturalists at Monee Reservoir. As the sun goes down, we will experience nature’s transition from day to night. Then relax on land with a cozy fire and roast s’mores.

Event requirements

Registration required by Wednesday, July 10: 815-722-9303.

Previous kayaking experience is required, as this is a recreational program and not an instructional paddling program.

All equipment, including personal flotation devices, is provided. The instructors are American Canoe Association certified. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get wet, and consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle.

The natural surface launch area is accessible by a paved trail from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
