The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Event Details

Get a chance to view the night sky through a telescope at Goodenow Grove this weekend.

View astronomical objects and get your astronomy questions answered at the same time. A backyard astronomer will be on hand to guide you as you look through the sky to find Jupiter and other objects.

Bring your questions and an interest in the night sky and get tips and tricks on how to view the night sky with and without a telescope.

Camp for one night or stay for all three nights. The program begins on Friday, May 24, with additional sessions on Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26. Camping fees apply and campsites are available for rental on a first-come, first-served basis. While campers may arrive as early as noon to their campsite, the program will begin at sunset and continue throughout the evening as long as weather conditions allow.

Price per campsite:

  • Will County Resident: $20/night
  • Nonresident: $40/night

A permit grants exclusive use of a campsite beginning at noon on the day of the reservation. Campers must depart from their campsite by noon on the last day of their permit.

Event Requirements
