Celebrate Earth Day by making a visit to Monee Reservoir and helping to keep the preserve free of trash. Fishing line, as well as other debris, poses serious threats to wildlife. Animals often become entangled in the line, or can swallow hooks or bits of plastic. Help keep the preserves clean. To participate, stop by the concessions window, pick up a trash bag and gloves, and fill the bag with any trash you collect. Bring the bag back to the concessions window and receive a free gift.
This program runs daily through Sunday, April 28.
No registration is required for this program.
Sidewalks are easily accessible; trails are on natural, uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should call 708.534.8499 or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
