The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Event Details

Which city carries the nickname “City of Stone and Steel”? One hint, this city’s once-thriving industrial plant rivaled Pittsburgh’s steel power, and its stone foundations are more than 100 years old. At the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site, a naturalist will share the stories of the men who worked at this site, and the recipe to make iron and steel during this fascinating tour.
