These eight-legged crawling critters scare many, but in reality, we should all be thankful they are a part of our ecosystem! In this fun family program, you will learn about some of our local spider species, their benefit to the environment and some of their amazing adaptations, and we will search in the moonlight for these marvelous creatures. By the end of this program, you may not love spiders, but you just might appreciate them a little more.
Registration required by Thursday, Sept. 8: 815-722-9470.
Please dress for the weather and an evening stroll outside.
The hike will be up to 1.5 miles long on both paved and natural trails over uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should call 815.722.9470 or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
