Event details

This ongoing program runs from Saturday, Sept. 17, to Sunday, Oct. 2. Hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Clean out the garage and make a difference by recycling your bicycle! Monee Reservoir is collecting for Working Bikes, an organization that refurbishes and distributes bikes globally to individuals with disabilities and in developing countries for transportation. No bike is too old or rusty!

Inside the visitor center, check out the power bike demonstration where you can test your pedal power, turning on a light or making music play on a repurposed exercise bike. Visitor center hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays to Sundays in September and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays to Sundays in October.
