Interested in paddling new places within the Forest Preserve? Maybe you've taken our Kayak Kollege program and now you'd like a bit more experience. Explore Rock Run Rookery from a new perspective. Rent a kayak from our fleet to embark on your own adventure. We provide all necessary equipment, and certified instructors will be on site to get you started and have extra eyes on the water.
Two sessions will be offered:
- Session 1: 9 to 10 a.m.
- Session 2: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Registration required by Tuesday, Aug. 15: 815-722-4121.
Be sure to wear shoes and clothes that can get wet, and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle. Previous kayak experience is required.
The launch area is accessible by a paved sidewalk trail from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
