The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Event Details

Please note: Masks are required for all in-person, indoor and outdoor program participants, with the exception of those younger than 2 years old and those with a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing one, per state guidelines.

It’s Halloween! Put on your favorite costume and head over to Isle a la Cache. A self-guided scavenger hunt will be set up in the preserve. On this adventure, search for animal clues about some of nature’s most “unhuggable” and “scary” creatures. Learn why they aren’t actually scary at all and find out what makes them awesome!

Bring your completed scavenger hunt inside the museum for the special treat of meeting one of our ambassador Blanding’s turtles. It will be out so you can get a closer look at one incredible, “unhuggable” animal.

Drop in anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. We would love to see you dressed up in costume, but costumes are not required.
