The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Event Details

As winter closes in and the nights get longer, imagine what life was like for people in an earlier time before electricity when Will County was dominated by prairie grasses. Discover three generations of the Clow family and their “riverview” farmstead by lantern, just as they would have seen it on dark November nights.

A naturalist will share stories of life back then as we examine the inside of the 19th-century buildings and explore the grounds of the preserve.
