Event details
Gain an appreciation for the diverse trees in the preserves. In this beginner’s program, you’ll learn leaf identification, bark types and how to use a dichotomous key to identify native trees. Foster a connection with the forest by learning the name of a tree. Previous experience and equipment are not required.

This is an inclusive program, welcoming individuals of all abilities. Please dress for the weather.
This hike will be 1 mile to 2 miles long on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
