Fall is a great time to be in the woods. The air is crisp and cool, the leaves are changing as the trees get ready for winter and birds are moving through to their wintering grounds down south. Messenger Woods Nature Preserve is a great place for birds to stop and for many to spend the winter. Join in this guided hike to find out what birds use this preserve.
This program is for birders of all levels. If you are just starting, this is a great way to get familiar with birds you are likely to find in the fall.

Bring binoculars and your favorite bird guide.
Be prepared to hike 1.5 miles to 2 miles along natural surface trials. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
