Drop by to learn about Native American longhouses, one of several types of dwellings used by the Potawatomi. Our longhouse will be set dressed and open for viewing. Learn about the daily lives of a Potawatomi and discover how longhouses were built and used by the Native people.
This is a drop-in program; come anytime between 10 a.m. and noon.
No registration required.
Isle a la Cache Museum is an accessible facility. Visiting the longhouse requires walking less than 1 mile on paved and limestone trails across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should call 815.886.1467, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
