Many birds migrate south in the winter in search of warmer weather. For some, that destination is Illinois. Bring your children to Four Rivers to learn about winter birds with a story, a hike, hands-on activities, crafts and free play.

This is an inclusive program, welcoming individuals of all abilities. We encourage experiencing all types of weather, so please dress yourself and your child accordingly.
Four Rivers is an accessible facility. The outdoor hike and activities may take place on paved and natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Please use caution while walking outdoors as snow and ice may be present on the paths and in parking lots. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
