Event details

In the midst of winter, while we’re bundled up in our blankets sipping cocoa, what are all the animals doing to stay warm? Bring your children to Four Rivers to learn about animals in winter with a story, a hike, hands-on activities, crafts and free play. We will discover animals that migrate, hibernate or tolerate the winter.

Event requirements

Registration required by Tuesday, Feb. 14: 815-722-9470.

This is an inclusive program, welcoming individuals of all abilities. We encourage experiencing all types of weather, so dress yourself and your child accordingly and use caution while walking outdoors as snow and ice may be present on the paths and in parking lots.

The outdoor hike and activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
