Event details
This workshop introduces participants to kayaking on flat water. Instructions, safety, paddle strokes and the variety of kayak types are covered on shore, then hit the water to try new skills. All equipment, including personal flotation devices, is provided. The instructor is American Canoe Association certified.

Registration is required by Wednesday, July 19: 708-534-8499.
Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get wet, and consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle. No previous experience is required.
The natural surface launch area is accessible by a paved trail from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
