Event details
For centuries, travelers of all kinds were also historians. Thoughts recorded in personal journals carried across land, ocean and time helped document historical events. Now it’s your turn! Join an interpretive naturalist and learn how to document your own historic journeys! Participants will learn how to sign their name in cursive, make and decorate their own journals and try writing with a quill and ink. The program will conclude with a journal-worthy short hike.

Isle a la Cache Museum is an accessible facility; the outdoor hike will take place on paved paths and natural surfaces across 0.5 mile of uneven terrain. Dress for the weather. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
