Event details

This celebration puts the spotlight on hummingbirds and other pollinators. Enjoy presentations by the Lincoln Land Association of Bird Banders as they capture and band hummingbirds. Banding session attendance is limited to allow optimum viewing of the birds and banding. Be sure to check in upon arrival to get your free ticket to one of the banding sessions, which will begin every half-hour starting at 2 p.m. You can adopt a hummingbird with a donation to the Lincoln Land Association. Funding for the banding is made possible by the Thorn Creek Audubon Society.

Beyond the banding, learn how to take action at home to help pollinators of all kinds. View our live monarch and honeybee displays. Make an upcycled hummingbird feeder using reclaimed materials. Visitors can also enjoy children’s activities, prairie hikes and native plant sales and other vendors.
