Event details
As the kids get back to school, close out the summer on the water at Monee Reservoir. Take in the peaceful views or challenge yourself with a water game as certified instructors guide you on a tour of the lake. Then end around a campfire to roast hot dogs and s’mores.
This is a recreational, non-instructional program using canoes and kayaks. All equipment is provided.
Event requirements
Registration required by Wednesday, Aug. 9: 708-534-8499.
Wear clothing that can get wet, including water shoes or old gym shoes. Prior paddling experience is strongly recommended.
The natural surface launch area is accessible by a paved trail from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
