Event details
Head to Tempest Farm during the “golden hour” to capture stunning farm photos. Learn photography tips and tricks with a naturalist before embarking on a walking tour of the farm, taking photos along the way. The program will include a discussion of the history of the property with owner Beth Temple.
This program is recommended for people with any type of camera, smartphones through digital SLRs. The program will focus on technique and composition, not camera operation.
Tempest Farm is located on South Yates Avenue in Washington Township, east of Beecher. The preserve is the largest land donation from a private landowner to the Forest Preserve District of Will County.

There are no restrooms on site. Activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven natural terrain. The tour will be approximately 1 mile. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
