Start your morning with coffee, tea, doughnuts and paddling! Join American Canoe Association-certified paddling instructors for a recreational paddle around Whalon Lake. Who wouldn’t want to start the day on the open water with sunshine, birds singing and the breeze in your hair?
All equipment is provided. Personal kayaks are welcome.
Event requirements
Registration required by Sunday, July 2: 815-722-4121.
Wear clothing that can get wet, including water shoes or old gym shoes. This is a recreational, non-instructional program. Prior paddling experience is strongly recommended.
The natural surface launch area and program area is accessible by a paved trail from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
