Event details

Don’t let those stunning plants of today fade to nothing but a memory tomorrow. Preserve them with your own flower press. Aspiring botanists, garden enthusiasts and crafters alike – this one’s for you! A naturalist will share the basics of plant identification then guide you through the steps to make your own press. Learn to preserve specimens to create your own herbarium (collections of dried plants) or to use for future crafting projects.

Materials will be provided, but you’ll do the cutting and assembling. No crafting experience is needed, though finger dexterity may be helpful. Staff will be available to lend a hand as needed.
