Event details
Grab a net and magnifying glass, because there are crayfish and other critters to discover in our river! Join us anytime from 1 to 3 p.m. to see what lives in and around the Des Plaines River at Isle a la Cache preserve. We will use nets to scoop for aquatic critters and then take a closer look at them.
Equipment will be provided, however feel free to bring your own personal equipment. All animals will be released back into the river at the end of the program.
Event requirements
No registration required.
Please dress in clothes and shoes that can get wet and dirty.
This event takes place outdoors on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
