Event details

In sessions 1 and 2, you’ve learned about all the gear and how to cook over a campfire. Now it’s time to put your new camping skills to the test and camp with confidence! Join naturalists for an overnight campout at the Goodenow Grove campground.

Bring your own gear or borrow from us. Limited items are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be reserved at the time of registration. Please call 708-946-2216 to reserve camping equipment.

Arrive any time after noon on Friday to start setting up your campsite and exploring. Naturalists will be on hand starting at 4 p.m., and the campout will wrap up at noon Saturday, July 8. The evening’s activities will include games, a guided night hike, s’mores and more! Bring your own food to cook dinner and breakfast over the fire.
