Come out to the Goodenow Grove campground for an evening of campfire cooking. Go beyond hotdogs and s’mores and try making meals and desserts using pie irons, foil packets and Dutch ovens. All ingredients will be provided. After eating your fill, stay awhile and enjoy relaxing by the campfires. Or better yet, reserve a campsite and stay the night. Even if you’re not a camper (yet!), these recipes can be a fun addition to a night around a backyard campfire. Bring a chair to sit around the fire.
Registration required by Wednesday, Sept. 14: 708-946-2216.
The Goodenow Grove campground has an accessible campsite in additional to natural surface campsites. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this workday should mention their request when registering, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the workday.
