Event details
Enjoy a hike through the preserve in the evening and learn all about our local bat species. We will take a short break to watch the bats emerging from their shelter to feast, then the hike will continue on a little farther as we hope to discover other bat species that call Hammel Woods home.

Registration required by Thursday, Aug. 11: 815-722-9470.
The hike will begin at the stone pavilion.
The hike will be approximately 1.5 miles to 2 miles on paved and uneven natural trails. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
