The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Badge Program

Working with a District naturalist, scout leaders plan and receive a program to help satisfy badge requirements by utilizing Forest Preserve resources such as: staff expertise, cultural artifacts, education equipment and, of course, the preserves themselves. Due to BSA and GSA administration, time requirements, and site limitations, no program will meet all requirements in full.

Fee is $40 per naturalist, per hour.

Ages: 5-18
Time: 2 hours

Discovery Program

Our experienced staff will work with group leaders to design a program to meet your group’s needs. Content must be on natural or cultural history subject areas that keep with the Forest Preserve District’s mission.

Fee is $40 per interpreter, per hour.
Ages: 5-18
Time: 2 hours

Come play!

Scouts, church groups, 4-H and other organized youth groups are encouraged to get outside and enjoy these group based opportunities.
