The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Plum Valley Preserve Burville Road Access Development

Project Location: The project is located at Plum Valley Preserve, on Burville Road east of Route 394 in Crete Township.

Project Description: The Plum Valley Preserve – Burville Road Access Development project is a multi-phase development of Plum Valley Preserve in Crete Township.


Phase 1 construction consists of the development of an access area off of Burville Road; a vehicular parking lot; an off‐leash dog park with three separate areas, each containing benches and a shelter; a picnic shelter to accommodate 50 people; an information board; and a natural surface trail around the dog park. 

Phase 2 is an extension of the Plum Creek Greenway Trail.


The Forest Preserve District is dedicated to protecting, conserving, enhancing and promoting Will County's natural heritage for the educational, recreational and environmental benefit of present and future generations.
