The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Plum Valley Preserve Burville Road Access Development

The information below is provided to keep you informed about the Forest Preserve District of Will County's ongoing or recently completed land acquisition, restoration and development projects.

Project Status: Projected completion date of summer 2017.

Project Location: The project is located at Plum Valley Preserve, on Burville Road east of Route 394 in Crete Township.

Project Description: The Plum Valley Preserve – Burville Road Access Development project is planned to be a three-phase development of Plum Valley Preserve in Crete Township.

Phase 1 construction will consist of the development of an access area off of Burville Road; a vehicular parking lot; an off‐leash dog park with three separate areas, each containing benches and a shelter; a picnic shelter to accommodate 50 people; an information board; and a natural surface trail around the dog park. This work is expected to begin in spring 2016 and continue through 2017.

Phases 2 and 3 are proposed to include extensions of the Plum Creek Greenway Trail and the development of an equestrian parking lot. A timeline for this work has not been determined.
