The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Event Details

This ongoing program runs from Tuesday, June 22, to Wednesday, September 22.

Please note: Wearing a mask is recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated.

Plum Creek Nature Center is helping pollinators by rearing monarch caterpillars in a safe environment. As the butterflies emerge from their beautiful chrysalides, you can help release them! Each day at noon, nature center staff — and you — will release butterflies that have fully completed metamorphosis. What a thrilling experience to take part in a monarch’s first flight!

Visit the nature center at any time to see the caterpillars at their various life stages. A naturalist will be on hand to answer all your butterfly questions and give you some great pointers on how to “butterfly up” your lawn.
