This ongoing program runs Tuesday, March 2, to Saturday, April 3. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
Please note: Masks are required for all in-person, indoor and outdoor program participants, with the exception of those younger than 2 years old and those with a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing one, per state guidelines.
The Forest Preserve’s Plum Creek Nature Center, in partnership with the Nature Foundation of Will County, is hosting a juried art competition featuring local artists. Enjoy artwork inspired by the theme “Sculpting WILD” in this one-of-a-kind art exhibition.
Tap into your wild side and vote for your favorite to win “the people’s choice” category. View constructed habitats, carved-out wild animals or molded blooming wildflowers among the collection. These sculptures look like they can nestle right into nature!
Cash prizes of $500 for first place, $250 for second place, $200 for third place and $100 for people's choice will be awarded. The deadline to apply to enter the show was January 29.
The exhibit runs from Tuesday, March 2, to Saturday, April 3. Plum Creek Nature Center hours are as follows:
- 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays
- Noon-4 p.m. Sundays
- Closed Mondays
Event Requirements
No registration required to attend the exhibit.
Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
