Make a difference in nature and in your community by spending a few hours helping the Forest Preserve District clean up the perimeter of one of its largest preserves. Your efforts will not only make Hadley Valley more pleasant to visit, but it will protect wildlife and the environment as a whole from the harm that can be caused by litter.
This is a family event, so pass down your environmental ethic to the next generation by lending a hand and showing your concern for the precious ecosystems we work to conserve. All are welcome, but please RSVP in advance so that there’s enough equipment to go around.

If you haven’t already, you can also receive a free picker by visiting one of the Forest Preserve’s visitor centers. You can use it on the day of the cleanup or just during your regular visits to the preserves. Even if you pick up trash in your own neighborhood, it still helps the collective effort.
Registration required by Friday, July 30: 815.722.7364.
Waivers must be signed by all participants.
Work will be along natural surfaces over uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering, or submit a request on-line no later than 48 hours before the program.
